Welcome to this web site. I hope that you will find it both interesting and profitable. Creating this site started out as an experiment in 1998 to provide sermons for local lay readers and has grown to what it is now. Thank you to the many people from around the world who have offered valuable comment, advice and encouragement over the years. It has amazed me how God has used my simple efforts in this corner of the world to assist preachers, lay leaders, readers and searchers in far away places.  All praise to the Holy Spirt working through the Word of God.

A little bit about myself. I graduated from Luther Seminary, Adelaide, South Australia in 1974 and was assigned to my first parish, Rockhampton, Queensland in 1975. In mid 1979 I was called to the Eight Mile Plains Parish in Brisbane. During those years Redeemer Lutheran College was opened and Our Saviour Congregation, Rochedale, was formed. We remained in Brisbane for the next 9 years and then moved 2,000 kms south to serve St Mark's Church and school, Mount Barker in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, South Australia. In 1995 we moved north again this time to St Luke's, Nambour, and Good Shepherd, Witta, Queensland. In October 2003 I began ministering to St Paul's Lutheran Church & Primary School in Caboolture, Queensland (including Bribie Island and Mt Mee). At the end of 2015 I retired from fulltime ministry and so the contributions to this web site have not been as regular as in the pastor. These days I enjoy some locum ministry in congregations where a pastor is needed, spending time with family and travelling as much as we can. Miriam and I have four children and 13 grandchildren.  Miriam is a primary school teacher (now also retired).

Over the years I have served on the councils and committees of numerous Lutheran schools and colleges, been a local and state leader of The Boys' Brigade, a member of various Councils and Committees and a member of the Church Council of the Queensland District of the Lutheran Church of Australia.

God has come close to you through his Son Jesus. May you draw near to him.
